POSSIBLE STATES / ILLUSTRATIVE REPORT

How a rule becomes a barrier.

Fictional demonstration, not a completed student assignment. Actual activity reports have different layouts. This example has no completion code, authenticated timestamp or grade.

1. My claim

Giving two residents the same voting right does not establish equal access to the polling place.

2. Evidence I would use

I would compare the residents’ travel requirements, working hours and queue times. A long queue can interact with a fixed work shift and a child-care deadline.

3. The mechanism

The rule allows both residents to vote, but the time and travel costs can prevent one from reaching the ballot. To explain the difference, I need evidence about the route from the legal right to its practical use.

4. What I would revise

A longer opening window might address one scheduling conflict. I would check whether transport, waiting time or a separate requirement still blocks access.

5. What remains uncertain

A fictional comparison can clarify a possible mechanism. It does not establish how many people face the barrier or how much a real reform would change turnout.
